Symbolizes awareness, differentiation. Symbolizes the social mask, the relationship with others. The mediator between the physical world and the world of thought. It structures the thought and thus allows us to bring in the awakenings which lead to the "know yourself". A way into life as into death, where god is masked by the world. The holey mask symbolizes the awareness and the bond that unites us with others and all our thoughts. He remains immutable, indistinct, as we change. The mask is also called the Persona (per sonare:means to speak through). It is the part of the "personality" that organizes the relationship of the individual to society.
